Cynthia Dianne Brown, 76, of Edgecomb, passed away on March 6 after a long illness at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor.
Cynthia was a licensed beautician and after her children left she worked for many years for the Miles Memorial Hospital group. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cloth art, traveling and bingo.
She was predeceased by son, Kenneth Allen Brown; mother, Marjorie MacDonald; and stepfather, Kenneth MacDonald.
She leaves her husband of 58 years, Robert R. Brown of Edgecomb; daughter, Dianne M. Peirce of Newport; daughter-in-law, Evilen Brown of Edgecomb; grandchildren, Mike Gustafson Jr. of Dexter, Nickolas Gustafson of South Portland, Andy Wolf of Orono, Jeanna Gustafson of Edgecomb, James Brown of Edgecomb, and Karen Brown Edgcombe of Portland; three great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Smith of Bath; and brother, Paul MacDonald of Oregon.
There will be no funeral. A remembrance of her life will be held in the spring.
