Dana H. Schoppee, 52, of Jefferson, died Nov. 18 at his home. He was born April 7, 1959 in Jefferson to Harry Harvey Schoppee and Eleanor Estelle Francis Schoppee. Dana grew up in Jefferson and attended Lincoln Academy.
He was employed by the Department of Transportation working alongside his father, Harry. He later worked as a lobsterman for many years. He and his father also ran a firewood business for many years. He loved hunting and especially spending good times with his many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Wayne Schoppee; half-brother, Fred Smith; aunt, Lucy Crummett; and uncle, Freelow Crummett.
Dana is survived by his half-brother, Clinton Smith of Hohenwald, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Diannia Smith of Linden, Tenn.; cousins, Francis Runions of Hohenwald, Tenn., Wendy Emory of Tennessee, Marcia Prock of Nobleboro, Brenda Crummett of Skowhegan, and Mark Crummett of Alna; and aunt, Alline Wood of Hohenwald, Tenn.
A private family committal will be held in Jefferson.
