Daniel L. (Dan) Wylie, 64, of Willow Hill, Ill., passed away on May 17 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham, Ill.
He was born on March 8, 1943 in Boothbay Harbor, the son of John Forrest and Laura Frances (Seiders) Wylie.
He married Katherine Miller on July 10, 1993, and she survives him. Dan and his wife owned and operated Newton Upholstery Shop in Newton.
He was a former member of the Newton Eagles.
Dan is also survived by daughter, Regina and husband Jack Bomley of Hartford, Conn.; sons, Daniel L. (Michelle) Wylie of Franklin, Conn., Michael P. (Tiffany) Wylie of Norwich, Conn., Robert R. Wylie of Norwich, Conn., and Ronald A. (Carrie) Wylie of Robinson, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Arthur (Maxine) Wylie of Nobleboro, Robert (Reba) Wylie of Nobleboro, Donald (Betty) Wylie of Boothbay, and Henry (Dawn) Simmons of East Boothbay; sisters, Diana (Peter) Dube of Augusta, Elaine Sorrells of Lanett, Ala., and Mrs. Louise Lewis of Rockland; and brothers-in law, Donald (Pat) Miller of New Berlin, Ill., Everett (Eva) Miller of Willow Hill, Ill., Gerald “Jake” (Phyllis) Miller of West Union, Ill., and Jim (Barb) Miller of Willow Hill, Ill.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, James Wylie; and brother, Earl Starkey.
