David Anthony Turner, 49, of Warren, died Nov. 2 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born March 22, 1961 in Rockland, a son of Donald R. and Linda L. (Stimpson) Turner.
David attended area schools and was a graduate of Medomak Valley High School, a member of the class of 1979. Over the years he worked with his brother as a brick mason. He loved the outdoors especially fishing. He enjoyed watching football and playing cards. He was a die-hard Red Sox fan. David will be remembered as a great man who was liked by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Guy Stimpson and Virgil Winchenbach; and sister, Deanna Lynn Turner.
In addition to his parents of Union, David is survived by son, Cruz Anthony Richard of Warren; daughter, Claire Elizabeth Turner of Warren; brothers, Donald W. Turner and wife Elizabeth of Virginia and their son, D.J, and Darrin G. Turner and wife Autumn of Ohio and their daughters, Abigail and Rebecca; grandmothers, Mary Winchenbach of Waldoboro and Freda Stimpson of Rockland; companion, Denise Richards of Warren; step-son, Coty Richards of Warren; special cousin, Chuck Clark of Virginia Beach, Va.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private services will be held at the convenience of his family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smeltzer Family Cremation and Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
