David K. Chapman, 88, of Newcastle, died on Feb. 2 at Togus VA Medical Center.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1925 in Dresden, the son of Frederick and Florence Chapman.
David proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He later worked as a marine worm digger.
He enjoyed reading and was a good mechanic.
David was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Faith Nadeau; brothers, Robert, Eddie, Howard, and Philip Chapman; and sisters, Maxine Freeman, Rosie Bowdin, and Janice Revock.
He is survived by his son, Gordon Chapman of Richmond; and brothers, Louis Chapman and Gerald Chapman, both of Lewiston.
Burial will take place at Maine Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
