David R. Robinson, 63, of Jefferson, passed away Feb. 3 at Miles Memorial Hospital.
The son of Radcliff and Martha (Wilson) Robinson, he was born March of 1943, in Damariscotta, where he spent much of his life.
Following his graduation from Lincoln Academy, David entered the U.S. Army, serving honorably during the early 1960s.
He spent most of his career as both a long haul truck driver and crane operator in several states.
David had an avid love for travel and nature and was an adventurous soul who wanted to see new and different things. He was known for his compassionate and giving nature, always willing to lend a helping hand.
Predeceased by his parents, David is survived by his son, Brian of Virginia; brother, Paul of Kent, Wash.; sisters, Joyce Sykes of South Bristol, and Dyann Chase of Sangerville; nephews, Eric, Mark and Aaron Sykes, and Adam Robinson; and stepdaughters, including Patricia and Carrie.
Service to honor David’s life 11 a.m., Sat., Feb. 10 at Strong Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta, with Rick Newell officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the spring.
Arrangements are entrusted to Strong Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Damariscotta.
