Dawn Raelyn Hughes, 40, of Augusta, died Nov. 9 at the Androscoggin Hospice Care in Auburn.
Dawn was born Jan. 13, 1970 in Lahabra, Cal.
She was predeceased by her mother, Susan Hughes, in March of 1990.
Dawn is survived by her father, Jim Hughes of New Harbor; daughter, Alexandra Hughes of Portland; sisters, Deanna Hughes of Augusta and Dayna Watkins of Indiana; brother, Frelen Scott Hughes of Brea, Cal.; one nephew whom she helped raise, Daniel Vallarreal, who is in the Navy, currently stationed in San Diego, Cal.
Services are under the care of Funeral Alternatives of Augusta, with burial to be held at a later date in Brea, Cal.
