Deena Marie Sole passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Conn. She resided in Oakdale, Conn. with husband, Greg Coffin and three cats, Molly, Leaf, and Rain, also loves of her life.
Deena graduated from Kelso High School in Kelso, Wash., Husson College, in Bangor, and Antioch University New England, in Keene, N.H. in 2008 with a Master of Arts in counseling psychology concentrating in substance abuse and addiction. She worked as a licensed professional counselor in Connecticut.
Deena served in the U.S. Navy from 1986-1993.
Deena was predeceased by her parents, Linda Culbertson, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Frank Sole, of Los Angeles, Calif.
She is survived by her husband, Greg M. Coffin, of Oakdale, Conn. and formerly of Edgecomb; son, Lian Parent, of Bangor; brother, Jack Sole, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; sister, Melissa Houle, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; brother, Nathaniel Culbertson, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; half-sister, Jennifer Chadwick, of Battle Ground, Wash.; and stepsister, Nikki Green, of Knoxville, Tenn. She had an extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be at a later date in the spring at the Edgecomb town hall, at 16 Town Hall Road in Edgecomb, where she and Greg were married Aug. 15, 2009.
Burial will be in the adjacent North Edgecomb Cemetery.
