Dennis Richard Boynton, 64, of Jefferson, died unexpectedly on Aug. 29 at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. He was born in Jefferson on Sept. 22, 1944, a son of Pearley and Marie Feyler Boynton.
Dennis was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been employed in the construction trade, owning his own business then working as a house builder for Paul Hammond. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, motorcycling, helping on the Clark Farm, fishing and hunting. His most important event was walking his granddaughter down the aisle at her wedding. Dennis was a very giving person who would help anyone out.
He was predeceased by his father; son, Dana; brother, Roger; and sister, Pauline.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharon Allen Boynton of Jefferson; daughter, Vicki Boynton of Vassalboro; mother, Marie Feyler Boynton of Jefferson; four brothers and a sister, Linwood Boynton and wife Bobbi of North Carolina, Robert Boynton and wife Deanna of Chelsea, Larry Boynton and wife Ramona of Jefferson, Midge Boynton of Winslow and Earland Boynton and wife Marion of Jefferson; granddaughter, Kymberly Peabody and husband Justin of Jefferson; and great-granddaughter soon to arrive, Harmony Rae.
Graveside service 2 p.m., Fri., Sept. 4 at the Trask Lawn Cemetery, Jefferson.
