Dolores Leigh Hanna, 64, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Sept. 23. She was born in Boothbay Harbor on Dec. 6, 1946, the daughter of Gloria Balsdon and Charles Balsdon.
She was a stay-at-home mom, raising her family. She loved to spend time at her home and received much joy and laughter from playing with her cats. She enjoyed life and was always thrilled to go on a shopping trip. She enjoyed going for rides with her sister and Jim, her companion of many years, and Samantha, their trusted four-legged friend.
She is predeceased by her mother; and son “Little Jim.”
Survivors include her loving companion of 40 years, James Hanna; sons, Damon Hanna of Boothbay Harbor and Kendall Hanna of Starks; stepfather Charles Balsdon; sister Elizabeth Balsdon of Boothbay Harbor; grandchildren, Cameron, Brittney and Quinton Hanna, all of Gardiner; and great granddaughter, Faith Hanna.
There will be a private family service held at a later date.
