Donald “Wayne” Breeding, 65, of Warren, died June 21 at the Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport after a brief illness.
He was born on Sept. 3, 1947, in Portland, the son of James R. and Marie C. (Pottle) Breeding. He was a long-time resident of Bath. In his younger days, he attended Elmhurst and participated in the Special Olympics. He has resided at Riverwood Ranch in Warren since 1983, the place he called “home.”
Wayne worked at Coastal Workshop in Camden until the time of his death. He loved the Portland Sea Dogs, Portland Pirates, Red Sox, eating out (especially Chinese food) and road trips. He had an infectious laugh, and loved to joke around with those he loved.
Mr. Breeding was predeceased by his father, James, who passed away in 2005; and his maternal grandmother, Christine Pottle, in 1984.
He is survived by his mother, Marie of Brunswick; sisters, Patty DelMastro and husband Mark of Brunswick, and Betty Wade and husband Jim of Bath; four nieces, two nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held 5-7 p.m., Mon., June 24 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Tues., June 25 at the Sheepscot Cemetery, Kings Highway in Newcastle.
