Donna Sue Gower, 44, of Thomaston, died suddenly at the Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport Jan. 25.
Donna was born Oct. 25, 1965 in Rockland, the daughter of Ralph and Donna Elwell Gower Sr., and attended Cushing and Thomaston schools, receiving her GED from Georges Valley High School.
She was employed as a med-tech in local nursing homes, most recently with the Riverwood facility in Warren.
She loved to ride her Harley, pull practical jokes on her family and friends, and was known for her distinctive laugh.
She is predeceased by her parents and brother, Ralph Gower Jr.
Survivors include sisters, Vicky Gower and companion Mark Johnson of Thomaston, Joan Stover and husband Harold of Boothbay, and Debra Hoermann and husband Richard of Waldoboro; brother, Albert Gower of Farmington; Donna’s boyfriend, John Drysdale of Thomaston; uncle Frank Elwell and wife Linda of Waldoboro; nieces, Amber Gower of St. George and Jamie Masonoff of Thomaston; nephew, Mark Johnson of Thomaston; a wide circle of extended family and friends; and her two cats, JoJo and Elvis.
