Doris E. (Bennett) Walker, 84, of Damariscotta, formerly of Rehoboth, Mass., died May 9 at St. Andrews Hospital, Boothbay Harbor. She was the wife of James A. Walker.
Born in Attleboro, Mass. she was a daughter of the late Samuel L. and Mary (Rothermel) Bennett. Mrs. Walker worked for many years as an antique dealer and was also a published author. She was an avid gardener.
Besides her husband, she leaves one sister, Mary Jane Trinkwald of Warwick, R.I. and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roger Bennett, Helena Swanson, Samuel Bennett, Jr., Beatrice Binger, Anne Rose and Joan Bennett.
Funeral service and visitation May 14 at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, R.I. with a service that followed. Burial will be in Rehoboth Village Cemetery.
