Dorothy E. (Bagley) Becker, 77, of East Hartford, Conn., passed away on March 21, 2007 at the Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford, Conn.
Born Aug. 15, 1929 in Nobleboro, she was a daughter of the late Osgood A. and Mildred A. (Hall) Eugley. For many years she resided in East Hartford, Conn.
Prior to her retirement she was employed for over 25 years by Southern New England Telephone Company, serving as a friendly operator for many of those years. After retiring, she and her late husband, John Becker, went to Florida to enjoy 25 years in the Fort Myers area during the winter while summering back home in Maine.
Dorothy’s passion in life was golf as she enjoyed playing on various courses both in Florida and in the New England area.
Besides her beloved parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond Eugley and Maynard Eugley, both of Maine.
Dorothy is survived by her two caring sons, Michael R. Bagley and wife Judy of East Hartford, Conn., and Robert O. Bagley and wife Denise Brewer-Bagley of Glastonbury, Conn.; sister, Janet Spear and husband Robert of Nobleboro and their children, Terry Spear and Jeff Spear; sister-in-law, Helen Eugley of Waldoboro and her daughter, Lori Wills; five special grandchildren, Kevin M. Bagley of Manchester, Conn., Trisha C. Bagley of East Hartford, Conn., Rebecca A. Bagley of South Windsor, Conn., Tyler V. Brewer of Glastonbury, Conn., and Cory C. Brewer of Glastonbury, Conn.; her brother Raymond’s children, Ronald Eugley, Arnold Eugley, and Vickey Eugley, all of Maine; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services held March 26 in East Hartford, Conn.
Private burial will be held in Maine at a later date at the convenience of the family.
