Dorothy Rattleff, 89, of Wiscasset, died April 14 at R.C.F. in Thomaston.
She was born in Woolwich on July 31, 1921, a daughter of Clarence E. and Caroline P. (Soule) Stilphen.
She attended Wiscasset schools and Morse High School. On Dec. 2, 1937 she married Philip N. Rattleff and was employed at Health Tex for many years. She moved to Connecticut and received her Certified Nurse’s Assistant certificate. She was also employed at Congress Sportswear for several years.
She was a member of the Woolwich Grange, Woolwich Women’s Club and Woolwich Ladies Aid.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing and making clothes for people.
She was predeceased by her husband, Philip N. Rattleff Sr. on April 8, 1981, and sons, Gerald Rattleff and Philip N. Rattleff.
She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Sonia of Wiscasset; brother, Leonard Stilphen of Baldwin; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at a later date at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Woolwich.
