Earl Byron Babcock, 66, of Dresden, passed away Nov. 10 at camp in Mattawamkeag.
Earl was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Waterville, the son of Lawrence Babcock and Katherine Bradbury. Earl attended Waterville High School, Curry College, and UMO.
On June 9, 1973 he married his best friend Mary Kolenz.
Earl worked at DHHS. Upon retiring he worked as recess teacher for Chop Point School.
He loved his dog, Beau, all sports, and visiting with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Oliver; and sister, Barbara Pelc.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary; sons, Jacob and Earl; daughter, Helena; grandson, Tyler; and brothers, Bill Oliver, Ross Babcock, and Bert Babcock.
A memorial service will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Sat., Dec. 1 at the home of Janet Tarpley, 994 Washington St., Bath.
