Earl L. Oiler, of Brewer, passed away peacefully March 28 at his home. He was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Springfield Township, Ohio, the son of John and Blanch (Wetenbarger) Oiler.
Earl served his country in the U. S. Navy. After his retirement as an auto mechanic, Earl enjoyed working part time at KWS Inc. where he enjoyed working with the owner and staff. Earl loved going to church on Sundays and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Waldoboro. He was a lover of sweets and was well known for his humor and sarcasm. His favorite place to eat was Moody’s Diner. His love of family was everything to him.
He is survived by a son, Joseph Oiler and wife Stephanie of Hermon; daughters, Bobbi Sidelinger of Whitefield, Randi Lee Oiler of Hope, and Becky Wilson and husband Warner of Coopers Mills; sisters, Clara, Daisy, and Marie; and grandchildren, Colby, Mackenzie, Aliza, AJ, Taylor, and Carleigh.
A service to celebrate Earl’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Wed., April 2 at the First Baptist Church of Waldoboro, 71 Grace Ave., Waldoboro, with Pastor Jon Vermilion officiating. A reception in the church reception hall will follow the service.
