Edith Mae Brown, 66, of Damariscotta, passed away March 14, 2019 after a long battle with C.O.P.D.
Born in Gloucester, Mass., on May 21, 1952 to George V. Cabral and Edna D. (Rich) Cabral.
She worked for many years at Mass Coastal Seafood in Gloucester, Mass. before moving to Maine with her husband and children in 1988. She then worked with her husband at Maritime Farms in Newcastle and Damariscotta Hardware.
Edith always loved having a good time, in her younger years she could be found dancing and going to parties with family and friends. After her move to Maine she could be found fishing at Damariscotta Lake with her family or around the card table playing cards with family and friends. Edith also enjoyed taking trips to the casino and spending time with her two granddaughters, Hailey and Izabell Brown, of Damariscotta. She loved that she got to spend time with her granddaughters nearly every day and was very excited to find out that she had a grandson on the way. Edith always had a special place in her heart for family, friends and also her animals which she considered her children.
Edith was predeceased by her father, George; mother, Edna; as well as brothers, George Cabral, Albert Cabral, and David Cabral.
