Edith R. Bordonaro, 92, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away in Boothbay Harbor on Jan 30. She was born on July 3, 1918 in Willimantic, Conn., the daughter of John and Candida (Ratto) DeMarchi.
Before moving to Maine in 2008, she lived for many years in Winsted and Avon, Conn. She was employed at CIGNA Corporation in Bloomfield, Conn. where she truly enjoyed her work and friends she made there before retiring in 1983.
Edith was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Shea and Jennie DeMarchi of Willimantic, Conn.; and brothers, John DeMarchi of Harwinton, Conn. and James DeMarchi of Willimantic, Conn.
She leaves her daughter, Candida Bordonaro of Waldoboro; sister, Eleanor DeMarchi of Willimantic, Conn.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive relatives and friends 9-10 a.m., Sat, Feb. at the Bacon Funeral Home at 71 Prospect St., Willimantic, Conn. followed at 10:30 a.m. by a funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Willimantic, Conn.
