Edna M. Zeltner, 94, of Damariscotta and long-time resident of Greenwich, Conn. passed away peacefully on June 1 at home.
Edna worked for many years as a Buyer, Marketing Agent and Clothing Designer. Together with Polly Marsh, they formed an exclusive women’s clothing shop on West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich. Several years later, Edna took on only private customers, designing and creating apparel specifically for them. In 1995, at the age of 80, she retired.
Continuing her creative direction in life, she became involved with many metropolitan photography clubs as well as many international clubs. In addition, she exhibited in competitions, both in this country as well as internationally. Her work has been included in many photographic publications.
Photography offered Edna the opportunity to pursue another avid interest, and so she began her goal to travel around the world. She managed to see all of the countries that she wanted to, some more than once. Some of her favorites were Poland, Greece, Australia, New Zealand and China.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Albert.
She is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Noelle Brosch of Boothbay, Mrs. Pat Sager of New Bern, N.C. and Mrs. Sharon Kalinski of Richmond, Va.; nephew, Mr. Robert Light of Concord, Cal.; brother-in-law, Robert Zeltner of Cape Coral, Fla.; as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
