Edward F. Pacana, 91, of Jefferson, passed away on May 22 in his sleep at the Knox Center for Long Term Care.
Mr. Pacana resided in Jefferson for many years; he still, however, referred to Pennsylvania as home and often spoke of his family he loved, including his three nieces: Debbie, Bevie and Suzy, and a nephew, Edward. He enjoyed all the cards and phone calls and gifts through the years.
He retired from Lukens as a steel worker, and antique buyer and seller. He loved going to yard sales, especially with his dear friend, Jan. Later in life he was a self-taught artist and painted folk-art scenes. He enjoyed giving his paintings to family and friends.
He loved all kinds of animals, especially Katy and the cats, and asked about them every night. He loved watching the birds and turkeys in Jefferson.
He was a generous and kind man, a loving husband to Dorothy, and the best dad ever to his only daughter, Stella and son-in-law Phil of Washington.
Services will be at the convenience of his family.
Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Mr. Pacana’s memory to the Humane Society of Knox County, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coast of Maine Cremation and Funeral Services, Waldoboro.
