Edward Robert “Beanie” Reed, of Warren, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 11. He was born on Oct. 18 in Damariscotta to Chelsea Reed and Robert Hamilton.
Edward had a patch of hair that looked like frosted white feathers. His nickname was Beanie, and he was a strong, alert, happy baby who brought joy to everyone who met him. His mother calls him her perfect little baby boy, and he was well-loved by everyone, even the pets in the family.
Edward had a large, loving family and he touched a lot of hearts during his short time with us. He loved car rides, baths, and was a blessing and a ray of sunshine. He loved boat rides with Rob and Momma even before he was born.
He is the family’s little angel, and even though his father Robert passed before his birth, he now has a chance to meet his baby boy face to face.
Edward is predeceased by his father, Robert Hamilton; aunt, Jaime Lee Reed; great-grandparents, John and Bernice Reed and Ed and Ethel Ausplund; and great-great-grandmother, Edith Orff.
He is survived by mother, Chelsea Reed of Warren; sister, Sara Hansen; grandparents, Victoria and Steve Ausplund of Tenants Harbor, and James and Judith Reed of Waldoboro; aunts, Racheal Morris and Garvin of Waldoboro, Eva Hamilton and her children of Dresden; paternal grandmother, Cheryl Greene of Freeport; cousins, Noah and Adelaide Morris of Waldoboro; and many other friends, family members and loved ones.
A time of gathering for family and friends was held on Dec. 13 at Hall Funeral Home, Waldoboro. A memorial service was held on Dec. 16 at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro. Pastor Tom Rawley officiated. A time of fellowship after the service followed at the Word of Life Church on Old Route One on top of the hill.
