Edwin Peter Ek, 73, of Vero Beach, Fla., died July 26 at Consulate Health Care.
He was born April 12, 1937 in New Haven, Conn. and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 19 years, coming from Pemaquid Point.
Mr. Ek was the former owner of The Bradley Inn, Pemaquid Point.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Ek was a member of Riverside Church Assembly of God, Sebastian, Fla. and a Chairman of Missions Committee at Riverside Church. He was also a member of Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Study at Morning Star Church, Vero Beach, Fla.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Louine Wilson Ek of Vero Beach, Fla.; sons, E. Christopher Ek of Jensen Beach, Fla. and Philip Beattie of Mansfield, Mass.; daughter, Sondra Vecchio of Big Canoe, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Memorial service 4 p.m., Sun., Aug. 8 at Riverside Church Assembly of God.
