Eileen M. Jones, 53, of Wiscasset, died Feb. 21 at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House in Concord, N.H. after a lengthy, courageous 15-year battle with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer.
She was born in Quincy, Mass. on Nov. 28, 1956, a daughter of James M. and Mary V. (Keating) Conley.
She grew up in Randolph, Mass. and graduated from Randolph High School in 1974. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College in 1978 and studied for a year abroad in Nice, France. She was employed for many years as a flight attendant and later as a Systems Analyst for the State of Maine for 16 years.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, gourmet cooking and crocheting.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 22 years and Women With Cancer Support Group for 3 years.
She is survived by her father, James M. Conley of Merrimack, N.H.; son, Dennis J. Jones of Wiscasset, daughters, Jaclyn M. Boyson and husband Jay of Litchfield, N.H. and Lindsay A. Jones of Wiscasset; brothers, Mark Conley of Merrimack, N.H., Hugh Conley of Nashua, N.H., Neil Conley of Randolph, Mass., Paul Conley of Mendon, Mass., and Myles Conley of Merrimack, N.H.; sister, Sheila A. Sorme of Tyrone, Ga.; grandchildren, Taysia M. Boyson, Tianna B. Boyson, and Cooper G. Reed; and nine nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 5-8 p.m., Fri., Feb. 26 at Daigle Funeral Home, 40 Federal St., Wiscasset. Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., Sat., Feb. 27 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Newcastle. Burial will be at a family plot at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, Mass. at a later date.
