Elaine J. Baron, 77, formerly of Whitefield, passed away at Glen Ridge Rehab & Long-Term Care in Augusta on June 1 with her family by her side.
She was born in Augusta on June 30, 1940, the daughter of Raymond F. Sr. and Marion Chapman Vigue. She graduated from Cony High School and retired from Digital/SCI.
She was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend to everyone she knew. She loved life and enjoyed gardening, social events, and cherished every moment spent with family.
Elaine was predeceased by the love of her life for 49 years, Ernest Baron Sr.; brother, Raymond Vigue Jr.; and sister, Marilyn Condon.
She leaves behind children, Kim Neuman and husband Mike of Minnesota, Tina Tarbox and husband David of Winthrop, Ernest Baron Jr. and wife Deb of Pittston, Scott Baron and companion Barb of Woolwich, Craig Baron and wife Danielle of Pittston, and Todd Baron and wife Denice of Belgrade; grandchildren, Shellie Buckmore, Shannon Crocker, Lindsay Webber, Allison Tarbox, Amanda Asfahl, Nick Baron, Marissa Baron, Sophia Baron, Trevor Baron, Paisley Baron, and Logan Baron; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Buckmore, Dustin Harrington, Brody Waltz, and Avery and Griffin Asfahl; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Tues., June 5 at Maple Grove Extension Cemetery in Randolph.
Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
