Eleanor Lennox Plant, 88, of Wiscasset, passed away April 3 at the Gregory Wing, St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor, where she had resided since August 2006.
Born July 14, 1918 in Bath, she was the daughter of George and Margaret Grant Lennox.
She attended Morse High School and worked in the Bath business office of the New England Telephone Co. until her marriage to Curtis S. Plant of Melrose, Mass. on Jan. 13, 1945. After they married they lived in Woolwich until they moved to Wiscasset in 1954.
She was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and a past member of the Huntoon Hill Grange and Farm Bureau.
She was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Plant on Jan. 14, 1978; brother, Kenneth Lennox; and sisters, Irene Lennox Douglas and Agatha Lennox Hatch.
Survivors include her daughter, Claudia Plant Coffin of Edgecomb and Hodgdon Island, Boothbay; grandson, Greg Coffin of Groton, Conn.; granddaughter, Dawn Coffin of Enfield, Conn.; niece, Betsy Douglas McPhee and husband Ainsley of Bath; grandnephew, Todd McPhee of Woolwich; grandniece, Tracey McPhee Smith and husband David of Hampden; and a great grandnephew, Eric Smith of Hampden.
There will be no services at this time.
Burial will be at a later date in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
