Elizabeth Dearborn Wick, 86, passed away Dec. 2 of complications from heart surgery.
She was born Mary Elizabeth Dearborn, April 20, 1920 in Newton, Mass., the daughter of the late Charles Thomas Dearborn and Mary Olive Barnett Dearborn. She was their only child after her brother died in infancy.
She attended Newton High School, the Garland School and Lasell Junior College.
She married Stanley M. Wick Jr. on Nov. 15, 1947. She was the mother of two sons, Charles Dearborn Wick and Stanley M. Wick III.
She lived in Newton, Mass. and then Wellesley, Mass. until 1957, at which time she moved to Cranston, R.I. and then East Greenwich, R.I. in 1965. She lived with her family at Potowomut, R.I.
She brought light, hope, pleasure and dreams to her friends and family. She loved her home, pets, garden and her house in Damariscotta, where she spent part of the year. Until last month, she regularly drove her 5-speed BMW back and forth to Maine.
She was the best wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley, and sons, Charles and Stanley, all of E. Greenwich, R.I., who loved her very much.
Burial service 11 a.m., Thurs., Dec. 7 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Pierce St., E. Greenwich, R.I.
