Elizabeth M. Brown, 98, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Jan. 24 at Rose Manor Assisted Living.
She was born on Westport Island on Sept. 7, 1916, a daughter of Robert and Mary Jane (Routh) Greenleaf.
She graduated from Lincoln Academy. On Aug. 26, 1978 she married Leland Brown and they made their home on Westport Island. She was employed at Mary’s Lunch, Naps Lunch, Bath Taxi, and Congress Sportswear in Bath for many years. She belonged to the local Good Sam Club and she was the Maine State Secretary of the Maine State Good Sam Club. Her soul mate, Leland Brown was the Maine State Director; they traveled all over the U.S. for the Good Sam Club. She lived with her daughter Gertrude Loveitt in Zephyrhills for many years and then moved to Rose Manor Assisted Living.
She was predeceased by her husband Leland Brown on Oct. 31, 1989.
She is survived by daughters, Gertrude Loveitt of Florida, and Sandra Richardson and husband Spence Pletts of Bath; son, Earl Richardson of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at a later date at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath.
