Elizabeth Pierce Kleinert, of Trevett, died at her home after a long illness on Nov. 5.
Elizabeth’s (Liz) greatest love was her family, friends, animals, and the State of Maine (she called it “God’s Country”).
She is survived by her daughter, Faith Elizabeth Kleinert Shelby of Mass.; son, Gregory Pierce Kleinert of Pennsylvania; brother, Frederick Pierce of Maine; daughter-in-law, Karen Kleinert; son-in-law, Steven Shelby; brother-in-law, Royden Kleinert; sister-in-law, Lois Kleinert; and nieces and several nephews.
Service 3 p.m., Tues., Nov. 8 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta.
In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to any animal society or wildlife society of your choice. She loved dogs, whales, dolphins, bears and any animal on God’s earth, especially the ones that are near extinction.
