Elizabeth Vannah, 83, died on Nov. 20, 2007, at Fieldcrest Manor in Waldoboro following a long illness.
She was born in Waldoboro on Nov. 11, l924, the daughter of Claude and Alma (Barter) Fitch. Elizabeth graduated from Waldoboro High School.
She worked at Medomak Canning Co., was postmaster at the Winslows Mills Post Office, worked many years at the Waldoboro Five and Ten, and was a long-time correspondent for many years with The Lincoln County News.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, George; her parents; and sister, Marie.
She is survived by daughters, Louise Brown and husband Nelson of Jefferson, Nancy Moore of Jefferson, and Bonnie Orff and husband Burton of Washington; son, Ernest Vannah and wife Colleen of Waldoboro; sisters, Crystal LaRue of Westbrook and Janice Orff of Jefferson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no service.
Arrangements are in the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, Belfast.
