Emma Adelaide Smith-Ackley, born on April 21, 1934, passed away after a long battle with illness, on the evening of July 1, at the age of 84.
Emma spent the last few years of her life making friends and memories at Cove’s Edge Nursing Facility.
Emma was predeceased by husband, Fred Lang-Ackley; one sibling; and one child.
She is survived by siblings, Anita and Carole; seven children; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation will take place from 10-11 a.m., Thurs., July 5 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta. A funeral service in memory of Emma will follow at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.
