Eric Christian Montgomery Sr., 37, of Warren, passed away Dec. 26 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after a long battle with lung disease he acquired from a childhood swimming accident. He was born April 23, 1972 in Rockland, a son of Lorraine Montgomery.
Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed the outdoors and sharing these experiences with his wife and sons.
Eric was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Woods in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole Dixon Montgomery of Warren; mother, Lorraine Montgomery of Waldoboro; sons, Eric Montgomery Jr., Dwight, Christian and Chase, all of Warren; grandchildren, Eric Montgomery III and Erica Montgomery, both of Warren; sisters, Lisa Holmes and husband Vern of Nobleboro, and Bernadine Pozerycki of Waldoboro; brother, Matthew Woods of Waldoboro; step-father, Reginald Montgomery of St. George; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Gathering of friends and family 12-2 p.m., Sat., Jan. 2, 2010 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St. in Waldoboro. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Union.
