Erma R. Ames, 89, of Wiscasset, died March 27 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.
She was born in MacAdam, N.B., Canada on Aug. 10, 1920.
In 1940 she married Alton I. Ames and they resided in Vanceboro.
In 1950 they moved to Wiscasset.
She was a member of The First Congregational Church of Wiscasset, the Wiscasset Senior Center and the Grand City Lunch Club.
Erma enjoyed her family life.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alton I. Ames in 1999.
She is survived two sons, John A. Ames of Lakeland, Fla. and Brian E. Ames of Wiscasset; grandson, Keith Ames of Vermont; and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Wed., March 31 at Daigle Funeral Home, 40 Federal St., Wiscasset. Chapel service 12 p.m., Thurs., April 1 at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta. Burial will follow at Maine Veterans Cemetery.
