Ethel G. Noyes, 75, of Jefferson, passed away on April 30 at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, following an extended illness.
She was born in Somerville on Dec. 2, 1931, to Lawrence Brann and Gertrude (Noyes) Brann.
Ethel was a homemaker in her own home for most of her life. She worked at various jobs, including Allen Union Farms of Union.
Ethel was an avid NASCAR and Red Sox fan. She loved old TV shows and the Weather Channel. Her favorite time of the year was spring with the appearance of robins and the peeping of the frogs. She couldn’t wait for the flowers to bloom. One of the great joys in her life was caring for children and anyone who needed her.
She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Carl B. Noyes, who died in 1994; her parents; four sisters; eight brothers; and great grandson, Jacob Bell.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Bronn of Whitefield and Laura Burns of Jefferson; brother, Oliver Brann and wife Terry of Whitefield; son Kerry Hisler of Chelsea; grandchildren, Carla Noyes Bell, Bruce Tillson, Jr., George Bronn, Jeremy Tillson, Donna Bronn Fairservice, and Amanda Tillson Smart; nine great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Frances Brann of Somerville and Marion Flanders of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation 2-3 p.m., Fri., May 4 at Plummer Funeral Home, 983 Ridge Rd., Route 32, Windsor. A graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at Highland Cemetery, Rt. 126, Jefferson.
