Eveleth “Fifi” Irene Rice, 78, of Woolwich, died April 19 at her residence.
She was born in Newton, Mass. on Aug. 14, 1931, a daughter of James and Eveleth (Chappelle) Regan.
She moved to Bath at a young age, attended Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School. She married Robert E. Rice Aug. 20, 1949, and was employed at Douglas Photo Shop in Bath. She was later employed at Francisco Gardens in West Bath for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, animals, birds and entertaining.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Rice on June 24, 2005.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda May Chapman of Gainsville, Fla.; sons, Andrew Rice and wife Jennifer of Woolwich and Ed Rice and wife Marianne of Woolwich; grandchildren, Matthew Rice, Jonathan Rice, Regan Chapman and Matthew Cole; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Anora, Ethan, Caleb and Madeline; and a lot of extended family in Lincoln County.
A gathering of family and friends will be planned in the near future.
