Evelyn Grace Manning, 70, of Waldoboro, a devoted wife of 50 years, mother and grandmother, passed away after a battle with cancer on June 12 at her home.
A 25-year resident of Waldoboro, she was born on Dec. 14, 1940 in Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. Raised in Newton, Mass., she attended high school at Sacred Heart in Newton, graduated from Mt. Alvernia Academy in Chestnut Hill, Mass. in June of 1958, and graduated from Chandler School for Women in Boston in June of 1960.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Manning of Waldoboro; her children that they raised together in Millis, Mass. for 25 years, Dianne Engwer, of Wrentham, Mass., Christine Morenzoni of South Bristol, Nancy Nolet of Jefferson, John M Manning of Millis, Mass. and Andrew Manning of Waldoboro; grandchildren, Caroline N. Engwer, Bridget M. Engwer, Kenneth M. Nolet, Thomas C. Nolet, Nicholas Morenzoni, Maureen Morenzoni, John Randall Manning and Logan P. Manning.
Calling hours 5-7 p.m., Wed., June 15 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta. Funeral mass 11 a.m., Thurs., June 16 at St. Patrick’s Church in Newcastle.
