Frances F. Bennett, 92, of Edgecomb, passed away on May 31 at Amenity Manor in Topsham.
She was born in Edgecomb on July 14, 1916, the daughter of Dermont and Maude Dodge Reed. Frances grew up in Edgecomb and attended local schools. After marrying William Randall Bennett, she made her home in Edgecomb. She was a homemaker.
Her favorite past times were hiking in the woods, knitting and crocheting. She loved flowers, gardens and eating out, especially seafood at the Trevett Store and Robinsons Wharf. She was a member of the Edgecomb Congregational Church.
Frances was predeceased by her husband, W. Randall Bennett; five sons and one daughter, William R. Bennett, Jr., Ralph Bennett, Floyd Bennett, Dermont Bennett, Theodore Bennett, and Dorothy Cost.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Lavway and husband Paul of Carmel and Patty Longley and husband Eric of Brunswick; special grandson, Rodney Cost and wife Lisa of Edgecomb; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitations 6-8 p.m., Thurs., June 4 at Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay. Celebration of her life 1 p.m., Fri., June 5 at the Edgecomb Congregational Church. Rev. Tom Clough will officiate. Interment will be in the Dodge Cemetery in Edgecomb.
