Frances “Fran” Elaine Field, 73, of Warren, went home to be with her Lord April 16 at the Sussman House in Rockport. She was born April 29, 1944 in Brockton, Mass. to George and Helen McPhee.
Frances raised her family in Warren and was well-known as a town of Warren letter carrier. She also worked many years as a caretaker as well as owned her own boarding home. Frances enjoyed trips on the motorcycle with her husband, camping with friends, and traveling. Later in life, after retirement, she and her husband enjoyed wintering in Zephyrhills, Fla. where they made numerous dear friends. But the highlights of her life were the times spent with her family.
She was predeceased by husband, George Leon Field III; son, Christy Ray Parker; parents, George and Helen McPhee; and brothers, Weldon, Ralph, Roy, Bill, and George Robbins.
She is survived by daughters, Diane Kelley and husband Mike of Warren, and Carol Gifford and companion Mike Allen of Newcastle; son, Orrin “Mac” Parker and wife Amber of Warren; stepchildren, George Field IV and wife Angela from Warren, Andrew Field and companion Amy Johnson of Warren, and Mary Field of Prescott Valley Ariz.; grandchildren, Angel, Larry, Gary, Tammi, Allison, Abigayle, Cason, Emily, Tasha, Lance, George, Tyler, Everett, Devin, and Chelsea; and 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Frances is also survived by her brother, Danny McPhee and wife Becki of Washington; as well as many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind many special friends but of significance, Betty Diment of Burkettville and Wendy Morden of Port Huron, Mich.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visiting hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., Fri., April 20 at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., April 22 also at Hall Funeral Hall in Waldoboro, with burial to follow at Sunny View Post Cemetery in Warren.
