Frances M. Hubbard, 87, passed away on May 19 at Maine General Health in Augusta. She had Alzheimer’s disease for several years and was a resident at the Alzheimer Care Center in Gardiner.
Born on June 6, 1919, in Bennington, N.H., she was the daughter of Harry E. and Lena Rice Smart.
Mrs. Hubbard was a waitress and chef for most of her adult life. She enjoyed both of these occupations very much.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Hubbard in May 1969; and son, Richard L. Hubbard in January 1997.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy J. Michaud of Nobleboro, and Marsha L. Chessa of Sanford; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren, who will miss her very much.
