Frederick Allen Lee, 61, of Waldoboro, died Aug. 7 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born Jan. 23, 1950 in Waldoboro, a son of the late Howard E. and Gloria R. (Beaucage) Lee.
Fred attended school in Waldoboro and served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. On Sept. 20, 1975 he married the former Janet Ryan in Waldoboro. In 2005 he retired from Bath Iron Works after 30 years. Fred loved to go fishing, especially at his favorite fishing hole, Sidensparker. He enjoyed playing cribbage, many different kinds of cards and poker games with friends and family. He was a long time bowler at DePatsy’s Lanes. Over the years there were many camping trips from local campgrounds to trips up north. One of Fred’s enjoyments was the many cookouts every year with family and friends. Fred had a love for collecting movies and he loved “his” remote control at his side at all times.
In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his step-father, Carl Winchenbach.
In addition to his wife of more than 35 years of Waldoboro, Fred is survived by his daughter, Amie Lee and companion Keith Collamore of Waldoboro; sons, Robert (Bobbie) Lee of Waldoboro and Lance Lee and companion Jill Johnson of Waldoboro; grandchildren, Bridgett Miller of Waldoboro, Lyndsey Miller of Waldoboro, Kaylie Lee of Rockland, Jacob White of Waldoboro, Kevin White of Waldoboro, Branden Lee of Rockland, Cora Lee of Waldoboro and Ivy Lee of Waldoboro; sisters, Sally Pulsifer and husband Raymond of Limington and Penny Hinkley and husband Scott of Jefferson; brothers, David Beaucage of Damariscotta, Richard Lee and wife Rilda of Warren, Paul Lee of Minnesota, Donald (Dog) Lee of Waldoboro, Peter Lee of Waldoboro, Alfred Lee and wife Tammy of Waldoboro and Sammy Winchenbach and wife Michelle of Jefferson; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and lots of close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Fred’s life 3 p.m., Fri., Aug. 12 at the Odd Fellows Hall, 37 Camden Rd. (intersection of Rt. 90 and Rt. 1) in Warren.
