Frederick F. Pendleton II, 86, of Wiscasset, passed away on July 28.
Fred was the town grocer and butcher of Pendleton’s Market in Wiscasset for 30 years. His warm heart, respect for others and caring nature made him a loved member of his community. People in need never had a chance to ask for help as he was already there helping.

During his 86 years, his passions and accomplishments were family, community, sailing, gardening, woodworking, swimming, cooking, a pianist, and he was an award-winning artist.
With his departure, he joins his one true love, his wife Althea of 54 years.
He is survived by daughter, Nicole Walsh; sons, Barry and Steve; granddaughters, Nina and Stephanie; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
