Fredrick C. Stone, 62, of Whitefield, formerly of Orange and Stratford, Conn., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Jan. 28, into the presence of his Lord and Savior, after his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Fred was predeceased by his father, Fred Stone; step-father, Howard Jack; and sister, Judith Carlson.
Fred is survived by his wife, Laurie; mother, Irene Jack; daughter, Kara and husband Andrew Waller and their children, Kaleb, Maguire, Matthew and Grace of Whitefield; daughter, Heather and husband Ben Philbrook and their children, Jillian and Olivia of Randolph; and son, Chris Tucceri of South Portland; step-brothers, Howard and wife Ceil Jack of Derby, Conn. and David and wife Anna Jack of Bethel, Conn.; nieces, Sauni Hartman of Cape Coral, Fla. and Cindy Kusha and partner Mario Beauchamp and their children Savanna and Chase of Fort Myers, Fla.; nephews, Justin Erickson and sons Aidan and Gavin of Machiasport; sister-in-law, Mary Holmes and brothers-in-law, Bill and wife Judy Holmes of Machiasport and Dan Holmes of Machiasport, Jared Philbrook, and Isac Philbrook of Pittston and Ellie Mclean of Australia, that he also considered part of his family and countless true friends that he considered family that were held close to his heart.
In honor of his love for grooming, cutting trees, and napping on his property, there will be a memorial service starting at dusk on Fri., June 24 at Fred Stone National Park with camping and music followed by a planting ceremony on Sat., June 25.
