Gail (Foster) Campbell of Harwich Port, Mass. and Naples, Fla., formerly of Scituate, Hingham and Quincy, Mass., died Jan. 12 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Gail is the daughter of Leland C. and Arlette (Pettengill) Foster of Wiscasset, where she was raised. A graduate of Wiscasset High School, she attended U. Maine Orono and upon moving to Massachusetts had a 30-year career in banking with Quincy Savings Bank. There she held the positions of branch manager and treasurer. She was the president of The National Association of Women Bankers. Gail was also very active with the Norwell Chamber of Commerce where she was a past president. She was a proud member of the Neapolitan Club in Naples.
Gail was loved by all who knew her and had varied interests including cooking, reading, dogs, sailing and camping. Spending time at the beach with her many friends and family was her favorite pastime. She was the life of the party and enjoyed every day. She was known for her distinctive and infectious laugh, her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes.
Joe and Gail’s time together was fun and exciting. They both lived by the motto: “Carpe Diem.”
Gail is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph A. Campbell; extended family, Lynne, Jay, Marcia, Ellen, Maryanne and their children; and Sharon Larsen; brother, Leland (Landy) Foster of Fort Worth, Tex.; daughters, Leigh Morse Stellato of Southwick, Mass., Lori Morse Weseman of Falmouth, Mass.; son, Andrew Morse and wife Brenda of East Lyme, Conn.; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Gregory, Andrew, Ashley, Eric, Courtney, Tyler and Jackson.
Memorial service 1 p.m., Wed., Jan. 16 at the Christ Church Episcopal, Rt. 28, Harwich Port, Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be private.
