Gary L. Small, 19, of Skowhegan, son of Steve Small of Vinalhaven and Sue Erskine of Skowhegan, died suddenly due to a car accident on April 23. Born in Rockport on Oct. 24, 1986, he attended schools in the Skowhegan area. He enjoyed basketball, fishing, and being with his friends and family. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents and several uncles. He is also survived by two brothers, Raymond Small of Pemaquid and Rick Cash and wife Heather and their two daughters, Keshia and Cheyenne of Pemaquid and Vinalhaven; sister, Crystal Small of Rockland and her three children, Virgil, Lewis, and Jenae Cray of Vinalhaven; maternal aunts, Lynette Woodcock of Vinalhaven, Brenda Philip and husband Bruce of Vinalhaven, and Sally Conway and husband Dale of Vinalhaven; maternal grandmother of Brunswick; 12 cousins; nine great cousins; and several great aunts and uncles who will deeply miss him. Graveside services 1 p.m., Sat., April 29 at Browns’ Head Cemetery with Elder Bob Candage officiating.
