Gary T. Murphy, 61, of Waldoboro, died July 3 at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1945 in Portland, a son of the late Thomas and Edith (Davis) Murphy. Gary was a graduate of Cony High School in Augusta.
On Dec. 18, 1986 he married the former Terry Rapach at their home in Waldoboro.
Over the years he worked with Pine State Distributors and the Maine State Prison.
He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #1008 in Rockland.
Gary was a fan of the New England Patriots and NASCAR and enjoyed boating and being on the water.
In addition to his wife of more than 20 years of Waldoboro, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Saulnier of Augusta and Jessica Lisondra and husband Angelo of Hawaii; grandchildren, Meaghan Hall, Nickolas Hall, Elijah Lisondra and Annalece Lisondra; uncle, Stanley Davis and wife Sammi of Florida; mother-in-law, Shirley Ripach of New Jersey; and brother-in-law, John Rapach and wife Robin of New Jersey.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Gary’s life 1 p.m., Sun., July 8 at the Elks Lodge, Rankin St., Rockland.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coast of Maine Cremation and Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
