Jennie McLean, 97, of Damariscotta, passed away at the Miles Memorial Hospital on the evening of April 4. Born in Nashua, N.H. on Aug. 6, 1913, she was the daughter of Anton and Eva (Yirmalowich) Kudalis.
Jennie was the beloved wife of the late Holman McLean, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Jennie and Holman were a team, both professionally and domestically. During their life together, they bought and sold homes that they remodeled and decorated. They lived in Nashua, N.H. and Florida, but always called Maine their home.
Jennie was a quiet, gentle woman of great faith. She considered the staff and residents of Cove’s Edge to be her family. Supported by such loving and caring people was a blessing to Jennie.
Jennie was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony, Fred and Joseph Kudalis; sisters, Ann Kinney, Virginia Kudalis and Josephine Clemons; a nephew; and Godchild, Robert Clemons of Nashua, N.H., whom she was very fond of.
She is survived by the family of Robert Clemons, his wife Marlene, Robb and Linda Clemons, Meri Clemons and partner Kathy Baker, Jeffrey Clemons and Elizabeth Clemons; Robert and Marlene’s grandchildren, Rose, Lily, Iris and Miles Clemons, and Bryce and Scott Clemons Baker; sisters-in-law, Connie Kudalis and Judy Kudalis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass for Jennie 11 a.m., Fri., April 8 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Newcastle. She will be laid to rest with Holman on Sat., Feb. 9 in the Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua, N.H.
