Geneva Lina Eugley, 98, born May 8, 1908, to Oren (Sr.) and Margaret Watt Robinson, passed away July 10 at Fieldcrest Manor in Waldoboro.
Geneva met Merlin Eugley in 1929 and they were married, making their home in North Waldoboro where they lived for 60 years. She worked for Paragon Button Factory, H.P. Hood and Son’s Egg Plant, and Moody’s Diner as their pastry chef.
She was the founder of Lend a Hand Club, which knit mittens and made quilts that were raffled at Union Fair to raise money for scholarships for local students.
For many years, she and her husband ran the Old Hen Pen where they sold antiques and knitted items.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Merlin Eugley, in 1989; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son, Donald Eugley and wife Elsie of Waldoboro; grandchildren, Susan Cramer and husband Keith of Union, Kathy Kinney and husband Joel of Waldoboro, Tracie Reynolds and husband John of Waldoboro, and Dawna Barbour and husband Glenn of Waldoboro; great-grandchildren, Jodi Shaw of South China, Jeff and Jared Kinney of Waldoboro, Justin Reynolds of Lewiston, Jillian Reynolds of Waldoboro, and Glenn and Brittany Barbour of Waldoboro; great-great grandchildren, Austin and Evan Shaw of South China; and several nieces and nephews.
At Geneva’s request, there will be no services.
