George L. Green, of Wiscasset, passed away Nov. 3, 2019. He was born in Winthrop, Mass. on May 10, 1930. After living and working in Massachusetts and Connecticut, he moved to Wiscasset with his family in 1972 and was the owner of “North of the Border” on Route 1. Throughout the years, he enjoyed sharing his opinions and ideas at town hall meetings and through writing letters to the editor.
He leaves behind his wife Jeanette; four children: Doug (and Lori), Bob (and Bridget), John, and Carol; five grandchildren: Kevin (and Mae), Jenny, Amanda, Mary (and Forrest), and Oliver; and two great-grandchildren: Marlow and Rowan.
The family will hold a private service.
