Georgia Florence Jones Nicoll, of Boothbay, passed away April 13 after a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 27, 1927, the daughter of George and Loantha Jones. After graduating from Lincoln Academy, she attended Forsythe School of Dental Hygiene and worked in that field for many years.
She married Robert G. Nicoll of Greenwich, Conn. on April 9, 1949 and together they raised three sons at their home in Boothbay. Georgia and Bob established Mainely Pine store in Wiscasset in the early 50’s.
She is survived by her husband Bob of Boothbay; sisters, Evelyn Hatch of Damariscotta, and Marjory Oliver of Georgetown; sons, Gordon and wife Mary of Newcastle, Robert S. and partner Kim Odell of Bath, and Peter S. of Brunswick; grandsons, Bud and wife Heather of Old Orchard Beach, Peter J. and fiancée Elin of Alexandria, Va., Aubrey of Bath, and Scott of Brunswick; and granddaughter, Jane of Brunswick.
A celebration of Georgia’s life will be held at a later date.
