Geraldine J. Peaslee, of Somerville, passed away peacefully Aug. 13 at Country Manor in Coopers Mills.
Geraldine was born in Clinton on March 19, 1922, the daughter of John and Lena (Goodridge) Hall. She was employed with Hussey s General Store in Windsor as a clerk for 30 years. She was a member of Somerville Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed working on any local suppers, school events and other community events.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Vaughn W. Peaslee, Sr.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Vaughn W. Peaslee, Jr. and wife Brenda; daughter, Vicki L. Peaslee-Guerrette and husband David, all of Augusta; grandchildren, Sara McCoy and husband Mark of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ryan Peaslee of Westbrook, and Jennifer Guerrette of Fairfield, Conn.; sister-in-law, Ernestine Peaslee of Somerville; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Fri., Aug. 15 at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home – Gray Chapel, 207 Windsor Neck Rd., Windsor, where a funeral service will take place 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 16 with Reverend David Gant officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Somerville.
